Thank you to Thomas Sign & Awning Co. for their work and creativity in constructing the new signs for the William R. Gaines Jr. Veterans Memorial Park.

Below are some pictures of the signs as they are being created. The signs are now complete were installed on October 18 which was Bill's birthday.

This is a final version of one of the signs sitting in the warehouse and ready for transport to the park.

With great pride and workmanship the Thomas Signs team is almost finished with the new park signs.

This is an almost complete sign waiting for raised soldier and lettering to be added.

This is the second sign waiting for texture paint to be added.

This image shows one of the cabinets with the star being held in place.

This is a finished unpainted star that will be the feature item on the new signs.

Each star is composed of multiple cuts of aluminum pieces that are individually welded together. This picture shows the welds on a half complete star.

This shows a sample of the paint color that will be used on the star.

Kevin Hunsicker is Executive Sales Director at Thomas Signs and has been personally involved in this project. Here he is explaining the cutout and construction process for the signs to William R. Gaines Sr. while Canyon Gaines examines the cutouts.<br />

Each sign will have a front and back face and here you can see all four soldier cutouts for the sign. They have been painted and are in the drying process.

Thomas Sign & Awning Co. did a great job working with the Foundation to come up with a monument design for the Park signs. Here you can see the table where the signs are being made.
